Kyle J. Van Arendonk, MD, PhD, is a pediatric surgeon at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Van Arendonk is co-director of the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research and a principal investigator in the Center for Child Equity and Outcomes Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. His areas of clinical interest include general pediatric surgery, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, chest wall deformities, and pilonidal disease. Dr. Van Arendonk completed his medical education at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, his general surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and his pediatric surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. He earned his PhD from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
