Vatche James Melkonian, DO: I am a board certified general surgeon and currently a Pediatric Surgical Critical Care Fellow at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Last year I completed the Pediatric Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the International Center for Colorectal and Urogenital Care at Children’s Hospital Colorado. I completed General Surgery Residency at St. Louis University Hospital. My undergraduate degree was in Italian and French Opera: Vocal Performance. I am interested in pediatric colorectal surgery as well as these patients' transition of care from pediatric to adult hospitals. I recently matched at Cedars Sinai for Adult Colorectal Surgery next year, and am currently in the match process for Pediatric Surgery Fellowship to follow.
