Nicole Joanne Kus, MD
I am a current research resident (year 2) from the University of Maryland General Surgery. I am a research fellow at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, working in the Peranteau lab, focusing on in utero gene editing therapy. My primary project focuses on spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). I graduated from medical school in 2020 from Lewis Katz School of Medicine and went to undergraduate school at Wake Forest University. I took a year off between undergrad and medical school and completed a 1 year IRTA fellowship position at the NIH, National Eye Institute.
