Annie Fecteau is a pediatric surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and also the Perioperative Associate Chief for quality and safety. Dr. Fecteau specializes in paediatric gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery and chest deformity. After her training in paediatric surgery at McGill, Dr. Fecteau went on to complete further years of training in liver transplantation in Cincinnati and Paris. Starting in 1998, Dr. Fecteau joined the University of Toronto Liver Transplantation team as the only paediatric surgeon and did transplants for 15 years. She is the ethics coordinator for the Division of Paediatric Surgery and has completed a master’s degree in Bioethics at the Joint Centre for Bioethics at The University of Toronto. Dr. Fecteau is involved in clinical research with a focus on quality improvement and ethics related research.
