Dr. Hussein Wissanji, MD, MPH, FRCSC, FACS, is an Assistant Professor at McGill University and a Pediatric Surgeon at the Montreal Children's Hospital, where he serves as the Director of the Colorectal Centre of Excellence (COCOE). His research investigates the urban-rural divide in pediatric surgical care within Canada's universal healthcare system, highlighting disparities in access and outcomes. Through policy work with governmental agencies and public health initiatives, Dr. Wissanji works to reduce the impact of non-intentional injuries at the provincial level.
