Heather Wanczyk is a 4th year PhD candidate in Biomedical Science at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. Her research is focused on novel tissue engineering approaches for treating congential defects and acquired diseases of the lung and esophagus in pediatric patients. She has experience with 3D bioprinting, organoid culture, biomaterial development and the differentiation of stem cells to distal and proximal lung phenotypes.
