Taylor H. Jacobs, MD is a general surgery resident at Virginia Commonwealth University and a current surgical research fellow in Dr. Gail Besner’s Research Laboratory at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He earned his Bachelor of Science, majoring in both biology and chemistry, from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. As a member of the Besner Laboratory Taylor is working to broaden his research experience, transitioning from a basic science background to focus on clinical-translational research. Taylor’s ultimate goal is to continue to help bridge the gap between scientific discovery and the generation of therapies through his own translational research lab of as a future pediatric surgeon-scientist.
