Paul Lerner MDCM is a General Surgery / Clinical Investigator Program resident at the University of Alberta currently completing a PhD in Surgery with Dr. Troy Perry and Dr. Eytan Wine in Edmonton, Alberta. His research focuses on the development of a pan-Canadian pediatric Crohn’s disease surgical biobank and the pathophysiology of pediatric Crohn’s disease. Prior to residency, he completed medical school at McGill University and an undergraduate degree at Columbia University. He is passionate about improving surgical care for children through translational research and multi-institutional collaborations.
